Grammar rules
- It implies 'To such a degree that [X] happens/is true.' Often used figuratively to stress how extreme a feeling or situation is.
- Very similar to '-(으)리만큼' and '-(으)ㄹ 정도로'.
- Interchangeable with '-(으)리만큼' and '-(으)ㄹ 정도로' with no change in meaning.
무서우리만치 조용했다. = 무서울 정도로 조용했다. (It was scary-quiet / quiet to the point of being scary.)
