Grammar rules
- Similar to '-(으)니까' (because), but this expression emphasizes the 'weight' or 'extent' of the reason.
- You are effectively saying 'Given the importance/level of [X], [Y] naturally must happen.' Interchangeable with '-는 만큼'.
- It is frequently used with idiomatic emphasis by repeating the preceding noun.
상황이 상황이니만큼 어쩔 수 없이 취소했습니다. (Given the situation we are in, I had no choice but to cancel.)
