Used to express a future plan, schedule, or intention. It can also be used to express a strong guess about the future.

Grammar rules

  • If the verb stem ends in a vowel or 'ㄹ', use '-ㄹ 거예요'.
  • If it ends in a consonant, use '-을 거예요'.
  • When expressing a guess about a third person, this form is used as a conjecture ('He will probably...').

    내일 비가 올 거예요. (It will probably rain tomorrow.)
