-게 되다
Used to express a change in situation that happened due to external circumstances, not the speaker's direct will. The speaker 'ended up' doing or being something as a result of events.

Grammar rules
- Often used to humbly describe personal achievements or life changes (e.g., getting a job, moving abroad) without sounding boastful.
- A polite, humble way to describe one's own accomplishments: '한국에서 살게 됐어요' (I came to live in Korea) is more humble than '살기로 했어요' (I decided to live in Korea).
이 회사에서 일하게 돼서 정말 기뻐요. (I'm really glad I came to work at this company.)
