Grammar rules

  • Attach directly to the verb or adjective stem regardless of the vowel/consonant.
  • In spoken Korean, '-지요' is very frequently contracted to '-죠'.
  • It can be combined with past (-았/었지요) or future tense (-겠지요 / -(으)ㄹ 거지요).

    어제 그 영화를 봤지요? (You saw that movie yesterday, right?)
